Lose weight.  We may not be able to help you with all of your New Years resolutions, but three out of four ain’t bad!   Please join us Saturday, February 10th from 7 to 9 pm for our Wine Lover’s Dessert Night.  Chef Diana Tarasiewicz of DMT Worldwide Culinary Adventures will be serving five deliciously decadent desserts paired with fine Colorado wines.  Glenn and Diana will discuss why each wine was chosen for a particular dessert and answer any questions you may have.  Make it a Date Night, a Girl’s Night Out or a great excuse to meet new people!  The cost is $30 per person, and Wine Club members may sign up for $25.  Pre-registration with payment is required.    Sign up early—this one will fill up fast!

Canyon Wind Cellars 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon

This outstanding wine well represents what can be done in Colorado.  With its deep, rich color and matching flavors, it can be enjoyed now or within 10 years.  Wine Enthusiast rated this wine 86, and that’s no small matter.  Look for great balance, deep dark plums and chocolate in the nose, followed by dark cherry, clove and coffee in the mouth.  It is a substantial wine, yet smooth and easy to drink.

Debeque Canyon Winery 2004 Chardonnay

Here is an unusual example of a buttery styled Chardonnay.  We’ve carried it for some time now, but noticed we’ve never shared it with our Dry Club members.  It’s smooth, soft texture will caress your mouth.  It’s incredibly complex spectrum of flavors will sweep your taste buds off their feet.  You would never guess the alcohol to be 16.4% . . . it is well-concealed under multiple layers of flavor.  The finish is broad and buttery.  Some say this wine is so buttery it’s like walking into a movie theatre.
