Dear Colorado Wine Club Member, Happy holidays and a joyful, rewarding New Year is what we wish for you at this special time of year. This is your last Colorado Wine Club package for 2007. We truly hope that you’ve enjoyed the wines, the letters, the complimentary tastings, and the special pricing that your club membership offers. We’re very pleased to have you with us, and tender our sincerest thanks for your continued support. Colorado wines have come a long way in the last 15 years, and we hope you’ll continue to join us as we explore the wide variety of wines we have here in Colorado. Enclosed are your Wine Club bottles. This month’s wines for the Dry Colorado Wine Club are: 2005 Chardonnay, Bookcliff Vineyards This Chardonnay is a classically made white burgundy. It is moderately oaked, and exhibits mild white peach and lean tropical fruit flavors. The bright, smooth mouthfeel will caress and stimulate your palate. This wine was pitted by some industry professionals against some big names from California and came out quite well. As we know, Colorado wines can be world class, and we think this one’s a fine example. 2005 47-Ten, Canyon Wind Cellars The 47-Ten table wine is a nicely priced selection from the Canyon Wind fold. It’s a good wine, and named for the elevation at the Canyon Wind vineyards in Palisade. Look for aromas of plum, berry, powdered chocolate and earth; joined by vanilla and spice on the finish. It will pair well with a variety of heavier, more flavorful food. Gumbo, chili, root vegetable stews come to mind. It’s good eatin’ weather! As always, enjoy the wines in good health!
Sincerely,
Glenn & Natalie Foster |
