Dear Colorado Wine Club Member, Do any of the following sound familiar? 1. Get out more; 2. Learn something new; 3. Have more fun; 4. Lose weight. We may not be able to help you with all of your New Years resolutions, but three out of four ain’t bad! Please join us Saturday, February 10th from 7 to 9 pm for our Wine Lover’s Dessert Night. Chef Diana Tarasiewicz of DMT Worldwide Culinary Adventures will be serving five deliciously decadent desserts paired with fine Colorado wines. Glenn and Diana will discuss why each wine was chosen for a particular dessert and answer any questions you may have. Make it a Date Night, a Girl’s Night Out or a great excuse to meet new people! The cost is $30 per person, and Wine Club members may sign up for $25. Pre-registration with payment is required. Sign up early—this one will fill up fast! Enclosed are your Wine Club bottles. This month’s wines for the Sweet Colorado Wine Club are: Grande River Vineyards Semi-Sweet This light, medium sweet wine is sure to tickle your tastebuds. It’s got all the right stuff for those looking for a nicely balanced sweet wine: Fruity aromas, flavors of pineapple, honeydew, citrus, apricots, and a zesty finish make this wine a nice complement to a variety of lighter fare, or a fine sipping beverage all by itself. Graystone Port II Here is a fine example of Colorado ruby port. This well-crafted wine packs some serious flavor into a small, beautifully designed bottle. As you may know, port is a fortified wine. Not to be taken lightly at 19% alcohol, this dark, rich and luscious wine is sure to make an impression. It’s made a very good impression on many judges in several competitions, as it has won many prestigious awards in the dessert wine category. Try it with chocolate mousse or truffles after dinner. As always, enjoy the wines in good health! Sincerely,
Glenn & Natalie Foster |
