Dear Colorado Wine Club Member,

The Holidays are upon us, and it’s a great time of year for getting together with family and friends.  Whether you’re traveling out of town or hosting a gathering of your own, it’s a great time to stock up on Colorado wines and do some shopping for the cork-heads in your life.  Don’t forget that as a Wine Club member you have a full time, 10% discount working for you.

Enclosed are your Wine Club bottles.  This month’s wines for the Sweet Colorado Wine Club are:

Hermosa Vineyards Gewurztraminer

This wine is light-bodied, crisp and slightly sweet with cloves and baking spice flavors.  Great as an aperitif or served with the Thanksgiving meal, with all its wide variety of flavors and textures.  The slightly tart mouthfeel lends itself to pairing with a variety of foods.  The sweet, rounded, fruit flavors make the wine appealing either by balancing out the non-sweet dishes or complementing the sweet foods.  This wine would also pair well with Asian food.

Mountain Spirit Winery, Apple Cherry Blush

A beautifully balanced fruit wine with loads of aroma and cherry character, the Apple Cherry Blush is a fine example of creative blending.  It’s just the right proportions of apples and cherries.  Try it with stewed pears topped with cinnamon and brown sugar.  You’ll probably want more, so know that we only have a few bottles left!
